We are pleased to inform you that the Baltic 130’ MY SONG, designed by Nauta and Reichel Pugh, has been recognized with the 2017 International Superyacht Society Award in the “Best Sail 24-40m” category.
The fourth sailing yacht designed by Nauta for the same Owner, continuing a successful partnership which began almost 30 years ago, MY SONG also represents the fourth collaboration between Baltic Yachts and Nauta Design, who created the general concept, the exterior and interior design, while hull lines, sailplan and appendages are drawn by Reichel Pugh who were also responsible for the structural engineering, together with composite experts Gurit for some selected components. MCM’s Nigel Ingram was the Project Manager for the Owner and played a key role in this innovative and complex project.
One of the most remarkable state of the art, all carbon superyachts ever launched, MY SONG is a high performance, genuine multi-role super sailing yacht, featuring several technological and aesthetic innovations which makes here an iconic, timeless masterpiece of design and construction.
One of the most remarkable state of the art, all carbon superyachts ever launched, MY SONG is a high performance, genuine multi-role super sailing yacht, featuring several technological and aesthetic innovations which makes here an iconic, timeless masterpiece of design and construction.
With her 39.6m of L.O.A. and just 105 tons displacement, MY SONG is a lightweight and performance-orientated superyacht, and also one of the most silent superyachts in the market, quiet and well insulated from vibration.
The exterior look is defined by a very aggressive line where the coachroof profile is low slung and almost hidden by 30cm high gunwales which double as footholds when heeling. When cruising, they provide additional seating with the handrails acting as backrests. A four-metre long freeing port has been included in the gunwales in front of the coachroof windows to allow as much natural light in as possible while providing views out to sea.
The key deck feature is the generously wide stern, the largest and most comfortable space possible for relaxing and sunbathing after sailing. The guest cockpit is devoted to al fresco dining and sunbathing/relaxing and is the social hub of this superyacht, where to enjoy high quality lifetime with family or friends.
On top of a comfortable saloon, the interior includes accommodation for six to nine guests including the owner. The owner’s suite forward of the mast includes a lobby, two bathrooms and a studio which can be converted into another guest cabin when necessary. Two en suite guest cabins are located aft of the saloon.
The prestigious awards were consigned during the special ISS Awards Gala Night held in Fort Lauderdale on November 1st 2017. The aim of the ISS Design Award is to encourage and develop world standards of excellence in the design and construction of superyachts.
ISS was founded in 1989 and represents the large yacht industry. Their mission is to serve as a communications conduit for issues affecting the marketplace, owners, crew and industry members; and to recognise achievement as well as provide educational opportunities and networking events. The ISS funding comes from its members and sponsors which in turn enables the Association to work on initiatives that benefit the large yacht industry as a whole.
